We have a known political predator -- Rick Perry -- looking to place his water boy, Stan Gerdes, to lord over us in HD17 -- Bastrop, Burleson, Caldwell, Lee and Milam counties. So far Gerdes has yet to show up at any forums and I haven't heard of anyone receiving so much as a mailer.
What gives? I think Rick and Stan believe they've already got it in the bag. That's because they count on Republicans never ever splitting their tickets. Maybe they're right. But I hope to prove them wrong.
What else do you need to know to go independent?
