Lost Pines protects water. Gerdes still AWOL, only on Facebook!

Updated: Oct 29, 2022

Congratulations to us, the residents and landowners of Bastrop and Lee counties, and our groundwater district, the Lost Pines Groundwater Conservation District.

At Thursday's specially called meeting, Lost Pines GCD took an important step. They suspended new water permits until after the Legislative Session is over in June 2023.

This didn't stop water marketers from filing a last-minute permit demand just hours before Lost Pines met last night. Their demand is for approximately 45,000 acre-feet of groundwater per year, nearly the same as the 50,000 AFY San Antone Hose, Vista Ridge!

Will Lost Pines' action save our water? Not unless a bunch of other things happen. This might include things we cannot control that some fools think they can. That would be Mother Nature and the market. Either could "interfere" with the water hogs at our trough.

The most powerful tool that we humans have at our disposal is simply to take House District 17 independent of both parties. HD17 is Bastrop, Burleson, Caldwell, Lee and Milam counties.
I'm the option to take HD17 independent. Will you help me do it? I need volunteers for the next ten days. You can do it from home online or on the phone. Or come out with me on the campaign trail.

Stan Gerdes wasn't there last night. He did put this graphic on his Facebook page.

Don't be fooled by these fools.

Do not let Rick Perry's lobby pals buy this election for Gerdes. Who else would pony up $700,000 for a $7,000 per year job?
